Dias De Los Santos Y Muertos

    Latinos, Indigenous Peoples, Catholics, and many others generally recognize Nov. 1st as Dia de Los Santos (All Saints Day)!   Nov. 2nd as Dia de Los Muertos (All Souls Day).

    Nov. 1st is a Feast Day to celebrate, honor, and reflect on the sacrifices and blessings that the saints and martyrs in Heaven bequeathed upon us during their transient time on this earthly plain.

    Nov. 2nd, commonly referred to in the Spanish-to-English translation as the "the Day of the Dead," is a time for prayer, solemnity, and remembrance of loved ones who have gone before us.

    Both days are traditionally combined as Nov. 1-2, which means that these are good days for the celebration of both life and afterlife.

    This is an opportunity to rejoice in the miracles of life and to celebrate with joyfulness the blessings we feel for our family members, ancestors, heroes, amigos, and companeros who have positively affected or influenced us over time.

    Some indigenous tribes in the Americas refer to one's transition from a 'living' space to an immortal one as something synonymous with the term 'Walking On.'   It is generally the same in almost all of the world's great religions: the belief that our loved ones' journeys keep going into the spirit life and in some ways, they will always be with us.
