The Finance Assistant provides general administrative support to the Finance Department and Vice President Finance and Operations. The Finance Assistant assists with: income processing for the Human Rights Campaign, its Federal and State Political Action Committees (PAC) and the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, PAC data entry and report preparation, The Finance Assistant must be able to respond quickly and with good judgment and be able to handle sensitive information in a professional manner. MHAPs goal is to empower people with mental health or developmental disabilities to live more independent, secure and satisfying lives through the enforcement of their legal rights and the advancement of their social and economic well-being. MHAP helps its clients resolve problems in the areas of mental health care and treatment, housing and financial benefits. Following city-wide outreach and engagement, participants are assessed for housing, employment, income supports, and referred to senior case managers. Position Overview This position is responsible for continually visiting all schools within their oversight and reports on operations, facility condition, vendor compliance, food preparation standards, staffing, and makes recommendations to ensure a high level of compliance with applicable codes, efficiency and customer satisfaction. Responsible for writing standard operating procedures as needed and executing emergency response protocols in all schools. Report regularly as required on guidelines established by the Executive Director. Ensure all food service activities at all schools conform to city, district, community and USDA standards. Use professional discretion and observe procedures of confidentiality in managing food service operations. Gain knowledge of the use and operation of all kitchen equipment and ability to effectively train any staff on its safe and correct use. Visit schools and make inspections of equipment and facilities and then report needs as required. Visit schools and inspect food preparation standards to ensure high levels of hygiene, compliance with city codes, and freshness of product. Make needed corrections through training vendor(s), staff, etc. Visit schools and inspect refrigerated and dry storage to ensure high standards are kept with respect to food rotation and storage. Ensure any products that are past expiration date are logged and then disposed of. Visit schools and ensure vendor(s) are in compliance with specific contractual obligations with respect to product offered, equipment and POS stations operational, staffing levels, and overall operations. Work with the Compliance office to ensure that money is being received as appropriate at each meal period and that all documentation required is being accomplished in a timely fashion at all schools. Ensure that all sustainability programs such as composting, recycling, and landfill diversion are administered in each school. File timely maintenance needs requests for each school and follow through the items to repair. Maintain maintenance calendars for proper communication to all needed personnel. Originate and file corrective action reports immediately. This position reports to the Deputy Director of Food Services. Voices for Children is seeking a Program Supervisor to work with our volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) in order to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children living in foster care. This is a full time 40+ hours per week position with some night and weekend hours required. Overview of the Program Supervisor Position: As Program Supervisor, it is your responsibility to ensure that abused and neglected children receive the highest quality advocacy and that their rights are upheld and their needs are met. As such, Program Supervisors: (1) ensure that the dependent children assigned to CASAs receive the advocacy they need; (2) ensure that the children's best interests are presented to the Juvenile Court by CASAs; (3) ensure that the needs of the volunteers are met and that the volunteers are satisfied; (4) ensure that the policies and procedures of VFC are followed by all volunteers; and (5) promote the mission of Voices for Children in the community. The Program Supervisor should be prepared to handle matters confidentially and with the strictest security. Responsibilities: Maintain substantial knowledge regarding the CASA concept, Voices for Children policies and procedures, juvenile dependency law, special education law, and the Health and Human Services Agency. Maintain an ongoing caseload involving a total of approximately 50 CASAs and provide supervision and support to those CASAs. Establish at least monthly contact with all CASAs and maintain detailed records concerning all contacts with CASAs and other parties involved in a child's case. Conduct annual evaluations with each volunteer and provide a written record of the evaluation in the volunteer file. Conduct a monthly "small group" meeting for volunteers. Attend and support CASAs at Treatment Team meetings, Team Decision Making meetings, and Individualized Education Program meetings. Participate in development and evaluation of volunteer training and continuing education curriculum. Review and approve accuracy and appropriateness of court reports and related communications to the Court and other agencies. Maintain accurate records concerning upcoming court dates. Maintain knowledge about court policies and procedures and act as a liaison with the juvenile court. Attend court hearings in place of or to support volunteers as necessary. Serve as on-duty supervisor with the VFC pager in rotation with other program staff. Participate in case intake, case review, and the case matching/volunteer assignment process. Conduct file reviews and manage outlying court offices in rotation with other supervisors. Provide support to the Volunteer Recruitment and Training staff as needed in the exercise of their duties.
